Obtaining Estimates
It is not possible for us to quote a generalized cost per square foot price since enameled lava stone is a hand-crafted material and actual price for individual installations can vary a great deal. A number of factors influence the price such as:
- time required by Artisans to complete job
- number of pieces required
- size and shape of each piece
- whether the border configuration is a simple bullnose or a more complicated profile
- whether cutouts are required for sinks and/or faucets
- etc.
We can provide a cost estimate if you send us a working drawing of your project with all dimensions, cutouts and border choices clearly indicated. Upon receipt, we will prepare a conditional estimate based upon the provided information within two days.
Ordering Procedure
If you decide to select our enameled lava stone for your project, you must provide a set of full size templates provided on a material that can be rolled to fit a mailing tube; e.i. Mylar. The templates will be compared with the measurements on the supplied working drawing(s). Any deviation may result in a revised estimate. The templates are then sent to France where each piece of enameled lava stone is manufactured to the exact size of the template. This sidesteps the always difficult issue of metric conversions thus ensuring that each piece will fit exactly into the finished installation.
Our supplier is a long established firm whose workers are Artists as well as Artisans - their work is impeccable. Truly beautiful! The completed pieces will be delivered in 2-3 months.
Because all of the work is custom, a 50% deposit is required when an order is placed. The balance of payment if required before delivery.
